What is the layout of Yavanna?

Yavanna is not a conventional house. There is one house (Casa Gabriel) with 3 en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and laundry.  All rooms open to the outdoors. There is a second house (Casa Dolinda) 20 meters away with another three bedrooms. There are also two more en-suite bedrooms available for rent, making 8 bedrooms in total. Yavanna has been designed for open, outdoor living. The swimming pool is at the other end of the garden, about 2 or 3 minutes walk away. Please refer to the property plan.

Is Yavanna suitable for the disabled?

All the paths around Yavanna are cobbled, so it is difficult to walk with a walking stick. A wheelchair is impossible. It is quite a long walk from the car park to the house for disabled people. Please call Eunice to discuss your situation and she can advise you.

How far is it from the airport?

Just over an hour from Porto's international airport, or half an hour from Vigo in Spain.

If I can get a cheap flight to Lisbon, how do I get from there to Yavanna?

Hire a car from any of the major providers, and the drive is about 4 hours, or longer if you take the more leisurely, but beautiful, coastal route.

Can you walk to Cafes, Restaurants and Supermarkets from Yavanna?

No. It is about a 10-15 minute car journey, and all guests bring or hire a car.

How far are the beaches from Yavanna?

The nearest sandy river beach is 15 minutes drive and the nearest ocean beach is 25 minutes drive.

How far is Spain from Yavanna?

Spain is a 15 minutes drive. Tui is the nearest town. It has a beautiful cathedral and lots of nice tapas bars to eat in.
